AEKON was formed and managed by Steve Ecomomou and were the first

Kopa champions in 1975-76 beating off the might of Anemos,Aekon were

also the first ever double winners beating the Andreas Paspatas AEK in the

final.Aekon made the Challenge Cup final a year later but were beaten by 

the great Omonia of Nick Kyprianou.Aekon had top players but their main 

stars were Andreas Michaelides,M.Michalakis and goal star Dimilios

Karkaletou as they established themselves in Kopa as a giant,sadly the 

Aekon story came to an end in 1979 as Steve Economou packed it in

but will go down in Kopa folklore as the first manager to lift the double.
