KOPA celebrates 40 years and the special memories everyone has are the great matches they enjoyed and the
places they saw them at,mostly treasure the memorable Cup finals or title deciders,so many football grounds hosted KOPA matches and everyone has their favourites from all over london.KLN which was the first Cypriot club played at Finsbury Park for many years before KOPA league was formed,then KOPA provided the future of Cypriot football with popular grounds like Coppermill lane,Whittington Park,Achna Wadham lodge,Doek Kennington Astro,
KLN Hackney Astro,Omonia Broomfield Park,Anorthosis New River Astro,Salamina,AEL,Dherynia Market Rd,Athletic Aylward Astro,Salamina Potters Bar Astro,Chestunt F.C,Aris Northumberland Park,Southbury Astro,Apoel Norseman,
Cosmos Battersea Park,AEL Kingfisher,Salamis,Omonia Broxbourne,Apoel Brimsdown,the list is endless.

Market Rd Astro
Hosted memorable Challenge Cup Finals,Divisional Cup finals,Mixth KOPA v Cyprus Internationals with
huge Cypriot crowds of up 2000 to go with many title deciders,at the height of KOPA would host KOPA games from morning to evening,home of the awsome AEL Champions for many years and Koureas great 80s Salamina Champions.Market rd will remembered as one of the most popular grounds in KOPA.
Broomfield Park
Broomfield Park many said was the home of KOPA football,home of Omonia would pack crowds of
up to 1500 on the big concrete steps which gave the crowd an enjoyable high view of matches is
what made Broomfield Park special along with the famous Koubes.The Omonia great teams of Nick Kyprianou and Jimmy Cattle were roared on to many great victories in the 80s and 90s,the ground sadly isn't used anymore but is part of the heritage of Kopa football and has left a memorable
legacy to go with the special memories.
Haringey Borough
Haringey Borough was special because it was the first ground that offered Kopa a stadium to enjoy,it
hosted 70s and 90s Challenge Cup,Divisional Cup finals along with Mixth KOPA finals,home of the great
KLN of the 70s and 90s,the title was twice decided at Haringey were both times KLN were victorious,first
the unforgettable 1979 KLN v Omonia title showdown where KLN were crowned KOPA champions for the
first time and the last time KLN were the champions in 1996,other memorable Cup finals to talk of was the 1979 Olympiakos and Salamina 1996 victories to name,another ground that holds great memories for many.
New River Astro
New River Astro started hosting KOPA matches from the mid 80s aswell as hosting the most Challenge
Cup and Divisional Cup finals,a small compact pitch and ground made for a great atmosphere for Cup
finals especially under the floodlights,only Market Rd has hosted more Kopa matches,home also of the
great 80s Anorthosis,took over as host of KOPA Challenge Cup finals from the mid 80s to the early 90s.
New River was a great leveler for the underdog and its were most Cup final upsets were produced with PAOK 1987 and Achna 1988 to note,other great New River Cup triumphs was Salamina 1988,AEL 1990,
1992,Athletic 1991.it is were awsome AEL won the closest KOPA title race on goal average from Nea Salamina in 1992,New River is one of the special grounds in KOPA and still plays a big part.
Potters Bar Astro
Hosted the dramatic memorable 1994 Salamina v Omonia title decider,home of Salamina in the 90s
and was the best Astro pitch in KOPA,due to location never held any Cup finals but produced great end to end KOPA matches due to the pitch size,another ground that holds great moments for many.

Enfield F.C
Enfield FC at the old Southbury rd stadium hosted 3 Challenge finals in the 90s,
the most memorable was the 1993 AEL v Omonia Cup Final as Jimmy Cattles
Omonia squeezed through dramatically on penalties.
Chestunt F.C
The home of the current KOPA champions Salamina,Chestunt has hosted many Challenge Cup,Divisional Cup finals to go with the Mixth KOPA finals in the last 10 years and is a big part of KOPA now.
Finchley F.C
Finchley FC Stadium hosted a few KOPA Cup finals where the great 80s KLN of Jimmy
Cattle triumphed against Anorthosis along with the Aris of Steve Cinotti a few years back.
