KOPA 40YEARS 

ANORTHOSIS was founded by Mikkos Chrysostomou 40 years

ago along with great sponsors like the Portou bros,the Karageorges

family,Christo & Co,Pantelis Savva took Anorthosis to many Cyprus tours in the 80s,more recently Paul loannides,they were one of the

most successful clubs in the first 8 years in Kopa with great teams and great players winning 2 titles,Challenge Cup,Divisional Cup but

for the great KLN and AEL would have won many more.Cyprus legend

Kyriaco Koureas won Anorthosis their first title in 1980,Anorthosis were Kopa Champions again in 1983 with Anorthosis legend Chris Theodorou,after missing out in 2 big finals to KLN finally won the

1986 Challenge Cup with Omonia legend Andy Kokkinos.Anorthosis then went quiet for years until Kopa great Mario Koureas was made manager,he won the 1998 Division 1 Cup and their 2nd Challenge Cup

in 2001-02,he finally brought the title back after 20 years in 2003.

Anorthosis more recently won the Challenge Cup in 2009 and the 2010 Division 1 Cup,Anorthosis will go down as one of the greatest and 

biggest clubs in Kopa History spanning 40 years.
