KOPA 40YEARS
COSMOS

COSMOS were formed in the mid 80s by Sotos Kontoyiannis
to join Doek as another South London team in Kopa and
for years were one of the tough outfits everybody had to
combat against. The man who put Cosmos on the map
was the great coach Nick Milo who was at Chelsea,
QPR and Millwall before giving his services to Cosmos.
Cosmos away was the dreaded trip everyone hated
making and got even harder when Kopa legend Nick Shakali
finally left the great AEL to manage Cosmos in 1993,their best
moments came when he took them to two Cup Finals in the 1997
Divisional Cup and the 1999 Challenge Cup,KLN great Alex Alexandrou
also managed Cosmos briefly.Cosmos battled on but finally folded a
few years later but nobody in Kopa will forget Cosmos away.
