KOPA 40YEARS 

DHERYNIA  was an unfashionable club that struggled to live with the big boys,

they were formed by Petros Georgiou in 1991 and was also sponsored by Lennox

Lewis promoter Panos Eliades'Pannix'.Dherynia searched for someone to fulfil their dreams so took a punt on young Steve Cinotti in 1993.The fortunes of Dherynia still

did not improve as the top players would rather sign for giants like AEL,Salamina,

Omonia but got to the 1996 Cup final losing to Salamina.Dherynia destiny changed forever in 1996 as AEL folded leaving Andy Fellahoudi to join forces with Cinotti as

AELs best players signed to fire Dherynia to the title completing the Double in 1997.

Dherynia in 1998 finished 2nd in every competition as Omonia did the great treble.

Dherynia in 1999 bounced back stealing the Championship in dramatic style from Salamina and also collecting the Divisional Cup to end a memorable year.ln 2000 more trophies arrived with a Cup Double,2001 brought no trophies for Dherynia and

to everyones shock abruptly folded.It was fun while it lasted with Dherynia leaving a super legacy behind.
