KOPA 40YEARS 

Kyriacos Koureas was the biggest name in Kopa in the 70s,a true Cyprus Salamina legend,Olympiakos (Greece) and Cyprus international who played at Wembley against England in the infamous 5-1 defeat

to a Malcolm Mcdonald hatrick.Koureas played for Salamina in Kopa but became Anorthosis manager 

winning the title in 1980,his greatest periods though were with Salamina where he became manager in the 1980s,for years they had great players but were outgunned by KLN and Anorthosis.Koureas built a

star packed team and took Salamina to the holy grail in 1985 romping to the title,many believe this was the greatest Salamina team in their glittering history,Koureas also won Salamina their first Challenge Cup in 1988 beating awsome AEL and his crowning moment came in 1994 were he won his last title in Kopa.Koureas was on many occasions Mixth Kopa Manager where he won the Inter-league many times,

he is in a select group of winning the title at two different clubs and what made Koureas a Kopa legend was his great football pedigree which was the reason Kopa's greatest players wanted to play for him,a reason he wont be held the greatest is he didn't collect as many trophies as he could have due to the forces of KLN and AEL but no doubt was one of the greatest managers seen in Kopa.
