KOPA 40YEARS 

The Cypriot Community Centre has been the bedrock

of Kopa,so many clubs have used it as a base to lay

their foundations,so many clubs have formed at the centre with Kopa itself having meetings,AGMs to the

presentation events for 35 years,Cypriots have always enjoyed themselves at their clubs especially in the first

15 years where all clubs had big finance and the main recipe was kebabs.Salamina is a club that's always done things in style and has had 3 clubhouses in the 70s,80s,90s which enabled them to treat and look

after their players,they have opened a third clubhouse this year.ln Kopas heyday you also had Koupes doing

a roaring trade at Broomfield Park,New River,Market Rd until the big crowds disappeared into history.Kopa clubs more so in the 80s always bonded their clubs with nights out and always believed a recipe for big

success was kebabs,it worked pretty well for giants

like Salamina,AEL,KLN,Omonia,Anorthosis,Olympiakos,

Anorthosis,Athletic,Achna and many more.The Kopa clubs gradually lost finance after the 80s leaving the Community Centre to become even more vital to clubs with every favourite Cypriot meal being available to everyone.
